Roman Diachuk at the PRO LEADERSHIP conference

The PRO LEADERSHIP conference was recently organized by the All-Ukrainian Baptist Union. The participants were leaders of various ministries from many parts of Ukraine, who, despite the war, continue to carry out their ministry and proclaim the Good News to people.

🔸 The conference helped everyone to be inspired for new achievements, strengthen their faith, meet like-minded people, and develop strategies for their ministry.

🔸 Roman Diachuk, director of PBU, became not only a participant but also a speaker at the seminar “Leadership with a global purpose”. He conveyed to the audience that every church and leader should evangelize to the ends of the earth, including the unreached peoples. These are not just words, but a goal set by Jesus Christ himself.

🔸 Here are the main points of this seminar:

GOD IS THE CENTER OF EVERYTHING

GOD WANTS ALL PEOPLE IN THE WORLD TO KNOW HIM THROUGH JESUS CHRIST

GOD WANTS ALL PEOPLE IN THE WORLD TO WORSHIP HIM

THE CHURCH IS GOD’S INSTRUMENT FOR MISSION

🔸 PBU helps churches make this task a reality. We train and send missionaries to translate the Word of God and organize new churches.

🔸If you are interested in joining this crucial mission, you can contact us in Direct or by phone +380 (68) 625 53 02 (ROMAN).

🔸”That all the peoples of the earth may know that the Lord is God, and there is no other.”

Meeting of the leaders of the KTS and the NGO “PBU”

🧡 For many years, the Kyiv Theological Seminary has been a powerful Christian educational complex that educates ministers of various fields. During this time, hundreds of students have received a quality education to be able to testify to people about our Savior.

🩶 Roman Diachuk, head of the PBU NGO, met with Ruslan Khmyz, rector of the Kyiv Theological Seminary, last week. They discussed opportunities for cooperation and the missionary vision of the seminary.

🧡 The leaders agreed that their common goal is to proclaim the Word of God to the ends of the earth. Therefore, we hope for effective cooperation, because KTS already has a missionary faculty.

Ivan Slobodian’s trip to Transcarpathia (Zakarpattia)

🌄 Transcarpathia is an area where a large number of Roma people live and seek to know the Word of God.

📖Ivan Slobodian, the head of the Roma project in Ukraine, is convinced that it is important not only to distribute the translated Bible, but also to teach people how to use and understand it. Therefore, he regularly visits this area and shares the Good News of our Lord.

📚This time it was a week-long trip, during which Ivan talked with many people, as well as with ministry leaders, because they are the ones who have the opportunity to serve the Roma on a regular basis.

With God’s help, pastors and leaders managed to gather not only in Serednie village but also in the city of Uzhhorod.

🤝Ivan proposed to hold meetings not only in the usual format, but also to use home groups.

It is important to emphasize that the Word of God unites different people from different denominations, so pastors from many churches joined the communication and training.

📘Ivan Slobodian used Greg Pruett’s book Extraordinary Listening in his conversations with pastors, which very well raises important topics and then follows up with a series of questions. Ivan taught the pastors that they should ask questions to the listeners so that they would reflect on what they heard, read more, and learn more.

✅ By the way, you can also get yourself this extraordinary book that will definitely make you think about many things. Contact us at Direct.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   🙏🏻 Pray that prayer groups will emerge among the Roma in Zakarpattia to study the Word of God and additional literature to develop in the ministry.

Meeting of the Board of Directors of PBU

🔶On June 27, the Board of Directors of the NGO “Bible Translators of Ukraine” met to present the report of all departments for the first half of 2024 and discuss plans for the coming months.

🔶It is worth noting that all the participants of the meeting were hosted by the rector of the Kremenchuk Evangelical Seminary, Ivan Ovcharenko, who has been a member of the Board of Directors since the foundation of our organization. The PBU and KES have had a partnership in the field of recruit training for a long time.

🔶The board members emphasized the need to continue to train missionaries efficiently and effectively. They also reviewed the current state of affairs and preparations for the deployment of current recruits. Another important point of the meeting was the acceptance of a candidate from Moldova: Olga Pionnic, who is a representative of the Roma people.

🔶The new Board of Directors invited Roman Vecherkivskyj, who is the Deputy Chairman of the All-Ukrainian Union of Churches of Evangelical Christians-Baptists, to join its membership. We are pleased that the leadership of the Baptist Union is joining this important mission and strongly supports the translation of God’s Word in Ukraine and abroad.

🔶Only by uniting we can bring God’s Scriptures to the ends of the earth, fulfilling His main Commission.

Missionary conference “Discovery”

🧡On June 27-28, 2024, a regular missionary conference “Discovery” was held in the city of Kremenchuk at the Kremenchuk Evangelical Seminary. About 85 people from different regions of Ukraine participated in it, for which we are very grateful to God. The conference was conducted by 11 speakers, including current missionaries and leaders of Christian organizations: Anthony Parker, Stanislav Shynkarev, Roman Vecherkivskyj, Ivan Slobodian, Stanislav Cherniaev, Roman Diachuk, Serhiy Berezovsky, Yan Barchuk, Vladimir Shuraru, Ivan Ovcharenko and Andriy Somov. They came to Kremenchuk from different parts of Ukraine, the USA, Poland and Moldova.

🧡It is worth noting that the conference was also attended by representatives of the Roma nationality. They testified about how God touches the hearts of their people and the impact of the translated Word of God on their native language, the language of the heart.

🧡An important emphasis of the conference was that we should preach using the Scriptures in the native language of the listeners, because this is the most effective method of evangelization.

🧡Unfortunately, many nations still do not have a translated Bible, so we must send missionaries there. This is what the NGO “Bible Translators of Ukraine” works for: it trains such specialists. As of now, missionaries will be sent to several countries in Europe and Asia to participate in translation projects.

🧡It is important to emphasize that we are also working to improve the literacy of peoples with low levels of education. Only by working together and helping people with their basic needs, we will be able to reach peoples who do not yet have established evangelical churches.

🧡That’s why we encourage everyone to join our mission and choose the role in which you can best serve: missionary, translator, literacy specialist, IT specialist, or targeting specialist. We are engaged in a special work – translating and spreading the Word of God, so we ask you to join us.
