💫 Last week, we held a working consultation dedicated to the translation of the General Epistles of the New Testament.
💫Over the past year, teams from the “PBU” have been working on the translations of Philemon, Jude, James, 1–2 Peter, and 1–3 John. 💫During our meeting, we:
Reviewed the results of this extensive work.
Verified the consistency of key biblical terms.
Standardized the structural formatting (introductions, addresses, greetings, and closings regarding peace, love, and grace).
Gave special attention to complex passages, particularly within the Epistles of Peter.
💫 A significant portion of the consultation focused on our future roadmap. Our next three-year cycle will shift focus toward the Old Testament. Following the completed translation of Genesis, our upcoming work will include:
Exodus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, and Joshua (either full books or key chapters).
Strategic Goal for 2028: Commencing work on the Book of Revelation.
💫 The consultation included representatives from the Crimean and Vlah teams, with a dedicated session for the Lovari team scheduled soon. Simultaneously, other teams are finalizing the Gospel of Mark and the Book of Acts. This year, we also plan a comparative translation of the Book of Jonah into several dialects in Moldova to determine the best direction for future collaboration.
💫 We are especially joyful to host a family from the USA currently completing their studies in theology and linguistics. God willing, they will join our projects starting in 2027. They are currently spending time in Zakarpattia, getting to know our teams, the translation process, and local Roma church leaders.
